About

Treatment Approach

Dr. Wu works closely with each client to formulate an individualized treatment plan. A treatment plan can include medication management, individual therapy, or a combination of both. She believes strongly in addressing questions and concerns and listening carefully to clients’ feedback. She also sees her role as providing education regarding medication. Her goal is to create a supportive and compassionate environment that allows clients to build coping skills and gain self insight into thoughts and behaviors that are obstacles to growth and fulfillment.

Education

A native Atlantan, Dr. Wu graduated from Woodward Academy in 1990. She received a bachelor of science degree from Northwestern University in 1993 and a medical degree from Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine in 1997. Upon graduation from medical school, her classmates awarded her the Frederick Stenn Memorial Award for humanism and compassion in the practice of clinical medicine. Dr. Wu completed her residency training in adult psychiatry at Emory University School of Medicine in 2001. In addition, after completing residency she studied at Emory’s Candler School of Theology as she has a strong interest in the integration of spirituality with psychiatry.
